Bullish on the Blockchain
Despite the backdrop of being on the brink of WWIII, barring anything short of nuclear war, we remain very bullish on the blockchain, crypto, web3 and metaverse space. We are not the only ones.
Here are some recent headlines that show the pace at which capital is flowing into this space. Enjoy!
- Credit Suisse with over $800 Billion in assets under management just said in a recent newsletter that a new world monetary order is coming and “after this war is over money will never be the same again… and Bitcoin will probably benefit from all of this.”
- Electric Capital announced a $1 billion raise for the creation of two funds: a $400 million venture fund and a $600 million token fund. These funds represent a ~9x increase from their previous $110m vehicle raised in August 2020. The funds will have a wide-ranging focus on DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, Layer 1s, and blockchain infrastructure.
- With the current geopolitical backdrop, crypto will likely emerge as “the solution” not the “problem.” It is fascinating to see crypto donations outpacing the United Nations in support….so far, at least. There is much to look forward to in this space. We believe we are still early entrants into the digital asset market, despite how far it has come in the last few years. The next decade will likely prove to be quite amazing in terms of innovation and total addressable market growth within this digital arena.
